Eclipse - the earrings that started it all! This was the first piece I made in the Emerge collection and remains my favorite. A sideways mod circle with a blaze of color! This is a great goto necklace with just the right modern style
* the enameled circle measures 1.5 inches in diameter, with the inner cutout circle measuring 7/8 inches
* earrings hang approximately 2 inches from your piercing
* suspended on sterling silver earwires
My enamel jewelry begins life as flat sheet of copper. The copper is cut out and then formed into a slight domed shape to give it dimension. Enamel is carefully applied and then fired in a kiln reaching close to 1500 degress until the glass flows and fuses to the metal. Several applications and firings are needed to complete the finished piece.
