Eclipse - the necklace that started it all! This was the first piece I made in the Emerge collection and remains my favorite. A sideways mod circle with a blaze of color! This is a great goto necklace with just the right style for a modern woman
* the enameled circle measures 1.5 inches in diameter, with the inner cutout circle measuring 7/8 inches
* necklace hangs approximately 1 5/8 inches from the chain
* suspended on sterling silver chain finished with a lobster clasp and a tag with my maker's mark
My enamel jewelry begins life as flat sheet of copper. The copper is cut out and then formed into a slight domed shape to give it dimension. Enamel is carefully applied and then fired in a kiln reaching close to 1500 degress until the glass flows and fuses to the metal. Several applications are needed to complete the finished piece.
