A marriage of my constant fascination with keys and torch fired enamel. To make the enameled heart, I sprinkle powdered glass to the clean smooth heart shape, then I fire up my torch and heat to a red hot. The powder enamel melts and fuses to the metal, sometimes leaving a rustic black around the edges - the only proof of the high heat the piece had gone through. Only one side of the heart is enameled.
I've paired the heart with a sweet little sterling silver key which makes a lovely "key to my heart" duet.
Photos show a the pieces hanging from a sterling silver ball chain. Rolo chain also available.
